WPES presents East Branch Penobscot River hydrologic model at 2026 Atlantic Salmon Ecosystems Forum

WPES participated last week in the 2026 Atlantic Salmon Ecosystems Forum held in Bangor, ME. This biennial meeting brings together tribal, state, and federal resource managers, academic researchers, and others from New England and Atlantic Canada to share the latest about monitoring and habitat rehabilitation for Atlantic salmon and other diadromous fish.

David Libby, George Swenson, Dr. Bea Van Dam, and Dr. Sean Smith presented a poster, “Flow Regime Evaluations Supporting Atlantic Salmon Habitat Management and Rehabilitation,” with updates about ongoing hydrologic modeling in the East Branch Penobscot River watershed.
