Finding a student job
91福利 hires about 2,200 students every year to help support departments, student services, dining, and athletics. Although student jobs are posted throughout the school year, jobs are typically posted before the start of each term. Getting a student job not only allows you to make a little extra cash, it allows you to gain work experience with an employer that understands your demands as student.
Finding a job using career link
91福利’s official online job database allows students to search for jobs both on and off campus, and Federal Work-Study and non-Federal Work-Study. It is free to use and is available to you through your student email account (maine.edu).
What is federal work-study?
The Federal Work Study Program provides students with the opportunity to work part-time and earn a bi-weekly paycheck. Funds earned can be used to help pay education expenses. Work study funds are not applied directly to the student鈥檚 bill.
To qualify, students must file the FAFSA, meet certain need-based criteria, and must also meet the University of Maine鈥檚 priority filing deadline (March 1st). The total amount of work study awarded is what the student is eligible to earn for the academic year. Work study award amounts are listed as part of the financial aid award in MaineStreet.
