Storymap Created for Carlton Pond Black Ash Management

Tyler Everett (APCAW) and Gunnar Martin (Greater Augusta Utility District) recently created a storymap about the research they are conducting at the site. The research will compare regeneration in three unique management zones, including a 9-meter-wide strip-clearing treatment area, a 6-meter-wide strip-clearing treatment area, and a control zone where no treatment has occurred. New seedlings that establish in these clearings will be too small to be targeted by the emerald ash borer when it initially arrives, offering hope that ash trees can be sustained at this site through new growth.
