Brief Biography: <\/strong>I am originally from eastern Massachusetts and moved to western MA to attend UMass Amherst, where I studied Natural Resource Conservation. After graduating, I worked for both the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Geological Survey researching anadromous fish migrations in the Connecticut River. I enjoy hiking, fly fishing, and board games!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Current Research: <\/strong>I am researching the effects of road crossing improvements on local environments in Penobscot Nation lands. The Nation is rebuilding river crossings at several points which interact with local beaver populations, and is interested in short- and long-term ecological consequences. I will be researching and monitoring that change with a focus on tribally important fish, bird, and mammalian species.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
