This bed and breakfast offers a variety of beautiful rooms and suites, each with private baths, cable television, WiFi, hairdryers, fridges, safes, and air conditioning. This inn has also been rated \u201cOne of the Ten Best Inns in New England\u201d by Ski Magazine. A recent review called it a “perfect couples ski getaway”, mentioning the wonderful hosts, delicious breakfasts, the proximity to the Sunday River ski area, and just a lovely overall experience.”<\/p>\n

This bed and breakfast is surrounded by water on three sides and located on 7.5 private acres. It is located in a great spot for day trips exploring the area including a short drive to Lubec, West Quoddy Head Lighthouse and State Park, Roosevelt International Park, and Cobscook State Park. Some activities include hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, whale watching, and bird watching. One review said, “WOW! This bed and breakfast will blow you away with charm, hospitality, fabulous food, and an owner who knows so much about the area’s history and what to do and where to go!” If you are seeking a romantic place to get away from it all, take a look!<\/p>\n

The Old Iron Inn B&B<\/strong><\/a> in the lovely town of Caribou is a turn-of-the-century house. You will feel like you have gone back in time with rooms furnished in antiques and of course, lots of “old irons” throughout the house. This small,\u00a0 European-style B&B prides itself on excellent service and wonderful home-made breakfasts. According to Visit Maine<\/a>, “Besides snowmobiling, Caribou has plenty to offer. Just outside of Caribou is the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge, which has more than five miles of trails perfect for hiking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. The\u00a0Aroostook Valley Trail<\/a> passes through Caribou on its 28 miles of multi-purpose trails from Presque Isle to New Sweden.” A recent review summed it up well: “We really enjoyed our stay here and Kate and Kevin are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area (and irons!). We really liked our room and the breakfasts. Great place!”<\/p>\n
