Welcome to Stratton-Eustis!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eustis and Stratton<\/a> are both in Franklin County. Eustis and Stratton together have a population of about 618 as of the 2010 census. Eustis is located on the High Peaks Scenic Byway and Stratton near the 500-acre Flagstaff Lake and the Bigelow Mountain Range. Yet, for the size of these towns, they pack a punch of what they have to offer. There are many opportunities for fishing, hiking, and boating. The largest ski resort in Maine is right around the corner in the Carrabassett Valley, Sugarloaf Mountain. There’s year-round fun in these quaint towns; come and enjoy the fun!<\/p>\n

Eustis was originally called Township Number 1 of Range 4, West of Bingham’s Kennebec Purchase. The land was first settled in 1831. In the next 20 years, it was renamed Hanover Plantation and merged with Jackson Plantation. It was officially named Eustis in 1857 and incorporated in 1871.<\/p>\n

Stratton is a village within the town of Eustis. A small commercial hub allows residents and visitors to dine, shop, and lodge.<\/p>\n
