Some local businesses (Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and the Orono Post Office are a few) offer the service. OIP also can take passport photos on a dropin basis Mondays through Fridays from 12pm to 4pm. Photos from OIP are $10 and can be paid in <strong>exact change only<\/strong> or online <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.touchnet.com\/C22921_ustores\/web\/classic\/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCTID=1840&amp;SINGLESTORE=true\">here<\/a>. If you go to a local business contact them for prices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Valid government issued photo ID (e.g., driver\u2019s license):<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Out-of-state residents<\/em><\/strong><em>: <\/em>you are also required to present your Maine Card along with your driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>A photocopy of your Issued ID<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Schedule in-person appointment: <\/em><\/strong>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usps.com\/\">usps.com<\/a>, click the \u201cApply for Passport\u201d section, and follow the instructions provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Applicable Fees<\/em><\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>$130 Passport Book application fee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$30 Passport Card application feee\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/travel\/en\/passports\/apply-renew-passport\/card.html\">click here<\/a> for more information about the difference between the two<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fees can be submitted by check or money order. Debit cards are also an option, but include an additional fee of $1.20<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Processing time:<\/em><\/strong> 8-11 weeks. Expedited processing (5-7 weeks) is available for an additional $60.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-spacer.kt-block-spacer-563_aea0ad-8a .kt-block-spacer{height:60px;}.wp-block-kadence-spacer.kt-block-spacer-563_aea0ad-8a .kt-divider{border-top-width:1px;height:1px;border-top-color:#eee;width:80%;border-top-style:solid;}<\/style>\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-spacer aligncenter kt-block-spacer-563_aea0ad-8a\"><div class=\"kt-block-spacer kt-block-spacer-halign-center\"><hr class=\"kt-divider\"\/><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Renewal of a U.S. Passport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can renew your passport by mail if you answer yes to all of the following:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You have your passport in your possession to submit with your application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It&#8217;s undamaged outside of normal wear and tear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Was issued within the past 15 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You were at least age 16 when it was issued<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Still have the same name as in the passport (or you can legally document your name change).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;If you don\u2019t fit these requirements, you need to renew your passport in a Passport Acceptance Facility, such as the Orono Post Office.
