91르적 aims to recognize exceptional faculty mentors who have an important impact on their students. Each year, the Office of the Vice President of Research and the Dean of the Graduate School solicits nominations for outstanding faculty mentors from undergraduate and graduate students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nominees and their students are invited to attend the Faculty Mentor Impact Award Luncheon held during Maine Impact Week, where winners are announced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lindsay Bland, an undergraduate student in the School of Nursing was invited during the ceremony to speak about her mentor, Deborah Saber. “Dr. Saber holds us to high, yet attainable, standards and ensures that the next generation of nurses will be knowledgeable and will excel in our various specialties,” Bland explains. “She is genuinely interested in, and invested in the lives of her students. It is clear she loves what she does, and her students love her in return.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
