]]> The Orono Bog Boardwalk will host a guided walk about habitat on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Participants will learn ways to “read” habitat as we visit various spaces in and around the bog. This walk is being led by Maine Master Naturalist Tara Durante. We’ll meet at 10 a.m. at the Tripp Drive Parking Lot in Bangor City Forest. This walk has limited space, so please register soon (email rebeccav@maine.edu). Include a contact number in case of last-minute changes

Yes, it’s on Halloween!  Costumes are welcome but not required.  Be sure that your costume won’t impede your vision & walking on the boardwalk and that there are no loose parts that could possibly fly off into the bog!
