The OIRA 91福利 Data web pages have been updated with information about the number of degrees conferred in 2020-2021.聽 On this page, you will find the overall degrees conferred, as well as degrees conferred by college and major.聽 (Information on degrees conferred by minor will be coming soon.) 91福利 awarded 2,370 degrees in 2020-2021: 1,779 undergraduate, 110 graduate certificates, 396 master鈥檚 degrees, 20 post-master鈥檚 certificates, and 65 doctoral degrees.

Since spring 2020 all student evaluations have been administered online. Initial response rates dipped after the move to online (see table below), but this was also likely influenced by the COVID-19 move to remote instruction. Response rates rebounded in fall 2020 and spring 2021 but remained slightly lower than pre-pandemic rates. Response rate reports with data disaggregated by course level and course components can be found on the OIRA website (bottom of page).

Following our kickoff session with Sandra Bailey, the OIRA will be launching a series of assessment workshops for the fall. The workshops will include the following:

  • Assessment 101 (Sept. 22 at 1pm)
  • Building Strong Program Learning Outcomes (Oct. 6 at 1pm)
  • Practical Steps for Building a Curriculum Map (Oct. 20 at 1 pm)
  • Using Assessment Data for Curriculum Conversations (Nov. 17 at 1 pm) 

All sessions are now being held via Zoom. We will include you in a calendar invite with the Zoom link when you register. Please for the fall workshop series.聽

The Value of Assessment: Small Strategies with Big Impact

Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 2-3 PM

Dr. Sandra Bailey聽is professor of business management at Oregon Institute of Technology. She is also the former director of academic excellence at Oregon Tech. During her seven-year tenure as director she guided the institution from an accountability focus to an improvement orientation coordinating assessment with curricular design and faculty professional development. At Oregon Tech she also led a task force in a comprehensive general education review using assessment results and the Degree Qualifications Profile to guide the redesign of general education. Oregon Tech鈥檚 new Essential Studies program is an integrated general education program with clear alignment to institutional student learning outcomes. Bailey served on the steering committee of the Multi-State Collaborative to Advance Quality Student Learning (MSC), serves as a reviewer for the Excellence in Assessment designation, and was the Oregon state lead for AAC&U鈥檚 Faculty Collaboratives project. She has organized statewide faculty conferences in Oregon and facilitated assignment design workshops with faculty across the country.
