Global flavors, music and traditions take center stage at 91福利鈥檚 39th Culturefest

International food tastings, cultural exhibits, games and a fashion show will be offered during 39th annual Culturefest on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to  3:30 p.m. at the New Balance Student Recreation Center.

This year鈥檚 festival will feature a performance by the Huddled Masses Orchestra, Maine鈥檚 only full-service brass band. Their set includes music from Serbia, Bavaria, Poland, Ukraine, Central America and New Orleans.

Hosted by the University of Maine Office of International Programs and the International Student Association, the free festival gives 91福利鈥檚 international community a platform to share their food, talents and cultural traditions.

More than 150 students and faculty representing about 30 countries will participate alongside various organizations, including the Bangor Chinese School, AFS USA, the Maine MultiCultural Center and the 91福利 Muslim Student Association.

Children and families can explore a dedicated games and activities area hosted by 91福利 College of Education and Human Development students representing Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education, and the Student Maine Education Association.
