Tony Sutton, assistant professor of Native American studies and food systems at the University of Maine, and Darren Ranco, chair of Native American Programs and professor of anthropology, were featured in magazine. Ranco and Sutton, who is also affiliated with University of Maine Cooperative Extension, spoke toward the power of land trusts and conservation groups and how restricted lands create barriers for making connections to the land.
