Habib Dagher, executive director of the University of Maine Advanced Structures and Composites Center, spoke with the about BioHome3D, the first ever 3D-printed house made entirely with bio-based materials, and how it endured one of Maine鈥檚 most volatile weather years during its first year of outdoor testing. 鈥淲e wanted to see how it does through a Maine winter. We鈥檝e done a lot of testing in lab, weathering tests and material tests, but there鈥檚 nothing like putting it out there,鈥 Dagher said.
