The , , , , (CBS 5 in Bangor) and (Fox 22/ABC 7 in Bangor) reported that the University of Maine Advanced Structures and Composites Center (ASCC) was one of more than a dozen Maine organizations awarded a combined $11 million in federal funding from the Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) to help strengthen economic opportunity in rural communities.
