, the and shared information about a performance of an original, one-woman opera based on the life of Rose Standish Nichols, pacifist, suffragist, garden designer and museum founder who died in 1960 at the age of 88. Beth Wiemann, professor of composition, clarinet and music theory in the University of Maine School of Performing Arts, is the composer and librettist of the opera, entitled 鈥淚 Give You My Home: The Rose Standish Nichols Story.鈥 The performance will take place at the Nichols House Museum, her former family home, for five performances June 3鈥5.
