Joan Ferrini-Mundy, University of Maine System vice chancellor for research and innovation and president of the University of Maine and the University of Maine Machias, joined to discuss the production and presentation of the Dirigo Star to the chair of Maine鈥檚 Bicentennial Commission, Sen. Bill Diamond. The star, which was 3-D printed at 91福利鈥檚 Advanced Structures and Composites Center, will be the centerpiece of a time capsule display at the Maine State Library in Augusta. The time capsule will be sealed this fall and opened on the state鈥檚 tricentennial in 2120.
