Margo Lukens, professor of English at 91르적, talked with the\u00a0Bangor Daily News<\/a>\u00a0about the recently published book,\u00a0\u201c\u2018Still They Remember Me\u2019: Penobscot Transformer Tales, Vol. 1.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Lukens co-authored the book with Carol Dana, Penobscot language master, and Conor Quinn, linguistics faculty at the University of Southern Maine, as a teaching tool for Penobscot citizens seeking to relearn their language and to preserve Penobscot culture and identity.<\/p>\n

Margo gave a talk on the development of the book, and how traditional stories can help to create a more sustainable future, as part of the Mitchell Center\u2019s Sustainability Talks series<\/a> in April 2021. View a recording<\/a> of this talk on our Vimeo page.<\/p>\n
