The latest edition of 91르적\u2019s Office of Sustainability newsletter includes an article by undergraduate student Julia Iannuzzi titled, \u201cFood Waste and Solutions for Combating the Crisis<\/a>\u201d.\u00a0 The article provides an overview of food waste and a look at how the Mitchell Center\u2019s food waste team, led by Susanne Lee<\/a>, is taking on the challenge in Maine. She discusses the team\u2019s six pilot solutions that follow the principles of reduction, recovery, and recycling as described in the Maine Food Recovery Hierarchy, and their efforts to rework the food waste system in Maine to go from a linear to a circular system.<\/p>\n

Articles on the current state of 91르적\u2019s waste and recycling process<\/a> (pandemic edition) is also included in the newsletter along with tips and tricks<\/a> to make transportation more sustainable.<\/p>\n
