\"Rural91¸£Àû\u2019s student newspaper, The Maine Campus, covered the Mitchell Center\u2019s Sustainability Talk, \u201cShifting Dynamics of Rural Economic Development in Maine,\u201d<\/a> in a February 10 article.<\/p>\n

The February 3 talk featured Lee Umphrey, Vicki Rusbult, and Will Harper from the Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC)<\/a>, which works to support Maine communities and businesses and frequently partners with the Mitchell Center. The talk focused on a new model of economic development that EMDC has launched, Economic Opportunity Response Teams (EORT), to enhance traditional technical assistance services.<\/p>\n
