I am excited to be able to work on a project that will create real, on the ground impacts for Maine\u2019s sustainable energy future.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>How could your work contribute to a sustainable future in Maine and beyond?<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This cooperative will be a replicable and scalable model for future community-owned solar programs throughout Maine and beyond. It will also reduce nonrenewable energy consumption across the places it has been implemented!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>What do you feel are the most important skills that you bring to your internship?<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I think my keen interest in the projects as well as my ability to learn as I go will set me up well to succeed in this internship.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>What have you learned through your participation in this internship?<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Community engagement is so important when it comes to sustainability solutions! I have also been lucky enough to be a part of the cooperative at its beginning stages, so I have been able to see the successes and challenges of a new business.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>What are your personal goals for this internship? What do you hope to accomplish?<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I am excited to work on a project that requires a solution oriented mindset. This is something I hope to become better at throughout this internship. I am also looking forward to learning about ways to engage and educate communities.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>How do you like to spend your free time\/down time?<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Playing ultimate frisbee, skiing, hiking, and just enjoying the Maine outdoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>What\u2019s your ultimate Maine experience?<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Going on a hike, I think everyone should hike Katahdin if they have the chance, and ending the night with s\u2019mores over a fire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why are you interested in the problem you are working on?
