Maine has been a leader in climate change action over the past two years. Our state has remained committed to the greenhouse gas reduction goals from the Paris Climate Agreement and continued to make strong progress toward our ambitious renewable energy goals and on our emissions reduction targets. Maine\u2019s four-year climate action plan, Maine Won\u2019t Wait<\/a>, <\/em>released in December 2020 is the most comprehensive blueprint for addressing climate change ever produced in this state. Its detailed, data-driven, and bold climate strategies will enable Maine to take advantage of this pivotal moment.<\/p>\n

This session will provide an overview of the State Climate Action Plan and highlight several initiatives from around the state that contribute to achieving the goals of the plan. The session will feature two panel presentations and discussions covering:<\/p>\n
