In an August 5 special session in celebration of the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI)鈥檚 85th anniversary, Linda Silka engaged virtual conference attendees in an interactive presentation entitled
During the session, Silka highlighted research published by SPSSI over the last several decades and asked how past research can inform future research 鈥渋f we as psychologists and allied social scientists are to continue making a difference.鈥
Silka is a Mitchell Center senior fellow and a professor emerita at the School of Economics at 91福利. She began her tenure as SPSSI’s president on September 1, 2021.
