Panelists will include\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/mlandc\/faculty-and-staff\/zachary-ludington\/\">Zach Ludington<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/english.umaine.edu\/people\/carla-billitteri\/\">Carla Billitteri<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/mlandc\/faculty-and-staff\/carlos-villacorta-gonzales\/\">Carlos Villacorta<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/history\/people\/michael-lang\/\">Michael Lang<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jahan Ramazani is Edgar F. Shannon Professor and University Professor of English at the University of Virginia. He is a distinguished scholar of modern and contemporary poetry in English, especially with regards to questions of postcolonialism and globalization. His books include\u00a0<em>Poetry and Its Others: News, Prayer, Song, and the Dialogue of Genres<\/em> (U Chicago Press, 2013),\u00a0<em>A Transnational Poetics\u00a0<\/em>(U Chicago Press, 2009), and\u00a0<em>The Hybrid Muse: Postcolonial Poetry in English\u00a0<\/em>(U Chicago Press, 2001).
