Leah Batstone (Assistant Professor of Music History at Montclair State University and founder and Creative Director of the Ukrainian Contemporary Music Festival in New York City) and Alex Tyutyunnyk (Instructor of Russian at 91¸£Àû) will engage in a pre-event discussion prior to DhakaBrakha’s performance at the Collins Center for the Arts. The pre-event discussion is free and open to the public.
Prior to the pre-event talk, at 4PM, Dr. Batstone will present “Tradition & Innovation: A Listener’s Guide to Ukraine” at the IRMC Center.
