Chiang\, director of the National Eye Institute. A pediatric ophthalmologist and board-certified clinical informatics specialist\, Chiang��셲 work focuses on the intersection of biomedical informatics and clinical ophthalmology. His research explores topics including artificial intelligence in healthcare\, telehealth\, electronic health records\, and data-driven approaches to improving patient outcomes. \nChiang has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and has led the development of an assistive artificial intelligence system for retinopathy of prematurity that received Breakthrough Device designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
