Save the Date: Northern New England Microbiome Symposium at 91¸£Àû
Researchers, students, and professionals are invited to attend the 2nd Northern New England Microbiome Symposium, taking place June 11–12, 2026, at the University of Maine.
The symposium will bring together experts and emerging scholars from across New England to explore the growing field of microbiome research and its applications across environmental, agricultural, and health sciences.
The event will feature a full day of presentations and poster sessions on June 11, followed by a data analysis workshop on the morning of June 12. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge research on microbial communities and their role in areas such as environmental health, agriculture, aquaculture, pathogen surveillance, computational biology, and bioengineering.
Participants will also be able to share their work through research presentations or the student poster competition and connect with colleagues from across the region.
The symposium provides a space for collaboration and discussion around how microbiome research helps reveal connections between environmental systems, food systems, and public health.
