{"id":7584,"date":"2019-04-17T14:54:59","date_gmt":"2019-04-17T18:54:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/marine\/?p=7584"},"modified":"2019-04-17T14:54:59","modified_gmt":"2019-04-17T18:54:59","slug":"undergraduate-graduate-students-receive-awards-at-2019-student-symposium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/marine\/2019\/04\/17\/undergraduate-graduate-students-receive-awards-at-2019-student-symposium\/","title":{"rendered":"Undergraduate, graduate students receive awards at 2019 Student Symposium"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-meta\"><span class=\"date\">April 16, 2019<\/span><\/div>\n<p>More than 1,200 students showcased nearly 400 research and creative works at the 2019 91福利 Student Symposium held at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on April 10.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth annual symposium provided an opportunity for the public to interact with student researchers and scholars as they viewed posters and exhibits and listened to oral presentations.<\/p>\n<p>The free public event was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School, the Center for Undergraduate Research, Student Government, and the Graduate Student Government as part of Maine Impact Week.<\/p>\n<p>Almost 220 volunteer judges scored projects in nine categories encompassing all fields of study at 91福利. The top students were awarded at the close of the ceremony. Other special awards sponsored by various research centers also were presented at the event.<\/p>\n<p><b>Special awards<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Dr. Susan J.
