Research Area: Physical Oceanography and specifically upper ocean dynamics and transport in coastal regions
Research: I am most interested in studying parts of the ocean that humans interact with regularly.Ìý These include the ocean surface and the coasts.Ìý I am currently working in three main areas: the interaction of wind, waves, density, turbulence, and ocean currents within a few meters of the sea surface; the physical oceanography in the Gulf of Maine; and the transport of larvae and other particles on the continental shelf, with a focus on the east coast of North America.
