Over two days, more than 65 researchers presented talks and posters showcasing cutting-edge work on lobster biology, ecology, and the coastal communities that rely on the number-one fishery in both the U.S. and Canada.
Co-hosted by the Lobster Institute, Maine Sea Grant, and the Canadian Lobster Research Network, the symposium highlighted the depth and breadth of collaborative lobster science across the region.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Amalia Harrington for an inspiring keynote address and to Dr. Damian Brady for launching the event with a dynamic plenary session.

The Symposium will feature a poster reception, keynote address, themed sessions of oral presentations, and a plenary featuring ’ an NSF-funded effort to connect Arctic change with lobster population dynamics and socio-economic outcomes in New England and Atlantic Canada. The Symposium is intended to alternate with the triennial , next scheduled for Mallorca, Spain, in Fall 2026.
