Gramlich and team featured in Polymer Chemistry

Professor William Gramlich’s group recently published in 혻where they describe the ring opening polymerization of new aromatic functionalized lactones to create polyesters derivable from forest biomass. They demonstrated that they could systematically change the glass transition temperature of the polyester by changing the number of aromatic rings pendant to the main chain.혻 This work was spearheaded by PhD student, Fatemeh Aghamoosa, and it built upon the foundational work of former group member Dr. Atik Faysal.
