As part of their Community Day celebrations, the Penobscot Nation will host their Annual Wabanaki Social Gathering and Inaugural Birch Bark Canoe Flotilla on Indian Island. In addition, on Thursday August 2nd there will be a presentation at Bangor Public Library about the history and tradition of the birch bark canoe. These events are open to the public!
