University of Maine Libra Visiting Professor of Education Christine Sleeter gave a lecture Monday, Nov. 16, on her book “Teaching With Vision.”<\/p>\n

The book, co-edited by Sleeter and Catherine Cornbleth, features stories by and about inspirational classroom teachers. Sleeter is an internationally recognized expert on multicultural education and diversity. Her work focuses on how teacher education programs can prepare future educators for increasingly diverse classrooms. During her talk, Sleeter shared some stories of teachers featured in “Teaching With Vision,” as well as additional stories of inspirational classroom teachers.<\/p>\n
