Finn Ducker is the Outstanding Graduate Student\/Graduate Assistant in Kinesiology and Physical Education for 2021. Originally from Manchester, England, Finn grew up mostly in Winslow, Maine. He graduated from the University of New England in 2016 with a bachelor of science in applied exercise science. This year, he is graduating with a Master of Science degree in KPE.<\/p>\n
Before coming to 91¸£Àû as a graduate student, Finn spent time as a crewmember on a sailboat, a crewmember at a research farm, and as a personal trainer in New York City and a sports performance coach in Colorado.<\/p>\n
Finn enjoys most outdoor activities, like hiking, gardening, kayaking, soccer, disc golf, going for walks. He says earning a master\u2019s degree has expanded his understanding of exercise science and sports performance, and will help him achieve his personal and professional goals.<\/p>\n
Statement from the Kinesiology and Physical Education faculty:<\/strong><\/p>\n Finn<\/span> has been a tremendous asset to the School of Kinesiology, Physical Education and Athletic Training. His students in KPE 253 truly appreciate how he delivers the lab content. Finn<\/span> has a way of making each lesson memorable. He has a way of not only captivating their attention but also instilling an inner desire to learn more, long after the conversation. Finn<\/span> is a role model to his students and strives to engage them in the learning process, whether in person or remote. He is creative, compassionate, and has high expectations for himself and those around him. We have no doubt that Finn<\/span> will continue to be an outstanding strength and conditioning professional after he leaves our
