\"AshleyAshley St. John is the 2020 recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Student Award in Special Education, High Incidence Disabilities.<\/p>\n

A former instrumental music major, Ashley’s passion for supporting all children allowed her to implement new skills and make curriculum changes to allow all students to experience success. Her students in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, as well as the children she works with during her summer job as a YMCA site director, have benefited from her focus on individual needs. Whether she’s giving flute lessons or shaping environments and assignments for her students, Ashley always works hard for all students to experience success.<\/p>\n

This energy will continue to make Ashley a valuable contributor to the field of special education, a dedicated team player and welcomed by the families with whom she connects. Congratulations!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
