Dallas News<\/a>\u00a0cited a 2008 University of Maine study in the article, \u201cHow parents can stop hazing before kids become victims \u2014 or suspects.\u201d The national study, which was conducted by researchers Elizabeth Allan and Mary Madden, found that 9 out of 10 people who were hazed didn\u2019t recognize that what happened to them was hazing, according to the article.
