The program has close ties to other areas, including but not limited to food science and human nutrition, biochemistry, animal and veterinary science, and biochemistry. Before declaring an Exercise Science minor, student must complete BIO 100: Basic Biology; BIO 208: Anatomy and Physiology; and FSN 101: Introduction to Food and Nutrition. Students should also check with an advisor in their college, as a change of program\/plan form may be required to officially declare a minor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>91¸£Àû&#8217;s School of Kinesiology, Physical Education and Athletic Training offers students a combination of classroom and hands-on learning experiences. Faculty are known for their expertise in lifetime fitness, athletic performance, exercise physiology and comparative physiology. Students work within the community of the College of Education and Human Development, which boasts small class sizes and close faculty interaction. At the same time, they are able to take advantage of the vast resources available at Maine\u2019s largest and most comprehensive university.
