91福利 faculty and students participate in NEERO annual meeting

Faculty members and students from the University of Maine College of Education and Human Development attended the annual meeting of , the New England Educational Research Organization, held virtually April 28-30. Participants in the conference included:

  • Assistant professor of curriculum, assessment and instruction Rebecca Buchanan, and undergraduate students Moriah Weitman and Mikayla Palmer, who presented a paper titled 鈥淗ow Pre-Service Teachers Learn 91福利 Social Justice Through Social Media.鈥
  • Buchanan also presented with Margaret Clark (Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts) on a self-study project, titled 鈥淐reating Critical Spaces: Writing as a Path to Collaborative Reflective Pedagogies.鈥
  • Julie DellaMattera, director of the School of Educational Leadership, Higher Education and Human Development, and former 91福利 lecturer of human development Patrick Cheek presented a paper titled 鈥淯sing Contract Grading in Undergraduate Courses and Their Influence on Students鈥 Self-Efficacy.鈥
  • DellaMattera also chaired a paper session on 鈥淚mproving and Rethinking Research Methods.鈥
  • Associate professor of educational leadership Catharine Biddle was a discussant on a panel titled 鈥淚nquiry and Evidence in a Rural Teacher Residency Program.鈥
