Ellsworth American reports on 91¸£Àû, UMM special ed collaboration
published a University of Maine news release announcing a special education collaboration between 91¸£Àû and the University of Maine at Machias. Starting this fall, undergraduate students majoring in education at both universities will be able to count certain 400-level courses toward a master’s degree in special education. The collaboration is part of a new 4+1 program that will allow 91¸£Àû and UMM students to earn both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years. In addition, 91¸£Àû undergrads majoring in elementary education will now be able to take special education courses remotely through the Machias campus for a concentration in special education.
