Why did you choose 91¸£Àû and the EES program:

“I chose EES because I hope to pursue a career in Environmental Law, and absolutely loved 91¸£Àû’s program. I’ve always loved being outdoors and appreciating nature, so having a program which gives me the opportunity to learn about and address environmental issues was critical for me.”

Best hands on experience and why:

“Personally, my favorite hands on experience has been sampling at the Littlefield Gardens in EES 117. My group got to catch and identify a variety of organisms which I has no clue resided within the gardens. It was a great way to get an introduction into what fieldwork would be like, and spend some time outside. “

Favorite class at 91¸£Àû and why:

“My favorite class I’ve taken is actually one I’m currently enrolled in: Environmental Protection Law and Policy (EES 324). Its been a wonderful opportunity to engage with environmental policy, and learn how much impact certain acts or laws have on our day to day lives, and treatment of the environment. It has also provided me with a lot of insight on the process of creating and enacting policy and law.”

Wisdom for incoming students:

“Do a variety of things! Make sure you maintain your interests, join different clubs and take every opportunity you get. As someone in a strange combination of extracurriculars on campus, I can definitively say its made more a more well rounded person, and created a sense of belonging. Also, don’t be afraid of asking for help! There are so many amazing resources on campus that I wish everyone took advantage of.”
