CCAR staff, Melissa Malmstedt and Izzy Depa, spent last Friday with the students at Adams School in Castine, Maine. Pre-K through 8th grade students had a blast learning about aquaculture and interacting with some of Maine’s aquacultured species.<\/p>\n

Chrissy Allen from Blue Hill Heritage Trust explains watersheds to Mrs. Huntington’s 1st and 2nd graders.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This was especially relevant to Mrs. Huntington’s 1st and 2nd graders who are just beginning an experiential learning program with Blue Hill Heritage Trust<\/a>. Throughout the remainder of the school year these students will take part in various activities to explore and understand the Bagaduce watershed and its importance in maintaining a healthy local ecosystem.<\/p>\n

We’re pretty sure all parties involved had a great time and we hope to have inspired a few young minds along the way.<\/p>\n
