Book that we will be reading is Radical <\/strong><\/em>Hope: A Teaching Manifesto <\/em>by Kevin Gannon, historian and educational developer.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Elevate your teaching skills, expand your understanding of teaching in higher education and connect with other interested graduate students.\u00a0Open to any and all graduate students \u2013 no teaching experience is required.<\/strong>\u00a0The book will be provided to you at no cost.<\/p>\n

Meetings will be co-facilitated discussions that will explore connections between your own teaching and learning experiences and the topics covered in the book. We will grapple with questions such as: How can we signal to our students that they are welcome in our classrooms? How can we create equitable and accessible learning environments for all students? How might you make a syllabus less technical and more digestible? What is my role as an instructor?<\/p>\n

Past participants always share how beneficial these conversations and community are to their own development as scholars and teachers.<\/p>\n

Five bi-weekly meetings on Thursdays @12:30pm starting on September 10th<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n
