Join long-time funded CFRU scientist, John Hagan of , for a workshop based on his most recently funded CFRU work. John’s team is using LiDAR-derived canopy height models to pick up tall trees across Maine’s commercial forestlands and then ground truthing the data to assess for additional ecological late-successional attributes, such as , large downed logs, and more. Come learn about the project process thus far and how Hagan’s work is changing the way we think about late-successional trees and stands.
This workshop will take place on Zoom from 9:30AM – 11:00AM on Thursday, December 7th, 2023.
