Thursday, October 12 | 3:00pm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Collins Center for the Arts<\/em> ~ Open to the Public<\/p>\n\n\n\n Next thursday October 12th at 3pm Dr. Susan Pinette<\/a> will be presenting the 14th Maine Heritage Lecture, presented by the 91福利 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Pinette is a Professor of Modern Languages and Classics and Director of 91福利\u2019s Franco American Program, and part of the Canadian-American Center’s Canadian Studies faculty. Pinette will be discussing the long history of Franco American activism in Maine and the vital part that the university has played in that history. The talk will be followed by a roundtable discussion with longtime advocate S\u00e9v\u00e9rin Beliveau, Maine Senate President Troy Jackson, and the former director of the Franco American Centre, Yvon Labb\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The lecture takes place in the Bodwell area on the third floor of the Collins Center for the Arts<\/a>, with a reception to follow in the Hudson Museum.
