DESCRIPTION:A musical adaptation of a wildly popular series of books is coming to the Hauck Auditorium stage at the University of Maine! \n91¸ŁŔű School of Performing Arts Division of Theatre and Dance is proud to present “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” as their first production of Spring 2026! The show is based on the Percy Jackson books by Rick Riordan. For this stage adaptation\, the music and lyrics are by Rob Rokicki and the book is by Joe Tracz. \nIt’s the story of young Percy Jackson\, an ordinary young person who discovers that he has extraordinary origins. Soon\, he finds himself thrust into a world of gods and magic that he doesn’t fully understand\, all while trying to navigate his own ideas and identity. \nThis production – directed by D. Granke – will run February 27 through March 8 in Hauck Auditorium\, now featuring a brand-new state-of-the-art theatrical lighting system! Tickets are $15; admission is free with a student MaineCard.
