Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies

DescriptionAs an outgrowth of the research on mobility innovations, we have expanded our research to examine creative aging, to counter negative stereotypes and elder housing segregation. A current emphasis involves examining how some nationally organized groups are seeking to change the perception of aging from one of decline and embodied limitation  to a time of creativity and ingenuity, needed to remain active while addressing embodied changes.
