Mark Shibles<\/strong> served as head of the University of Maine College of Education for 24 years. Shibles served as the first chair of the School District Commission, formed under the terms of the Sinclair Act, and he was instrumental in the consolidation of small school systems into the present School Administrative Districts. He also served as director of 91¸£Àû’s Summer Session. In 1971, 91¸£Àû presented him with an honorary doctorate degree.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
